The term "inflation" describes a decline in the purchasing power of money, manifested in an increase in the cost of products and services throughout the economy. Therefore, when inflation increases, every dollar you earn depreciates and influences your spending ability. However, it can be good news for many real estate investors because they are often better off during rapid inflation than owners of stocks or bonds. For instance, the value of the debt secured by their assets declines due to inflation. Yet, the worth of their properties increased with inflation.
