Pressing Forward When Life Takes A Detour

In this episode, Jessica Grantham joins TimeOUT With The SportsDr Podcast. LT Jessica Grantham is a Naval Flight Officer. She graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2015, and subsequently began flight school at NAS Pensacola. Following a 10 month delay due to an Achilles’ tendon injury, as well as a navy-wide operational pause that delayed her flight training an additional 6 months, she finally earned her wings of gold in 2018. She went on to fly in the F/A-18F out of NAS Lemoore, where she is currently stationed with her husband. Following a devastating knee injury and two surgeries, Jessica left her fleet squadron to focus on her medical recovery. She’ll be sharing her experience with her injuries, challenging recoveries, and what they have taught her along the way.
